Registering and ordering
How do I register?
Simply fill in the fields on the registration page, and we’ll subsequently email
you to confirm your registration and login details.
Once we’ve confirmed your registration by email, you can set your preferences by
clicking on the ‘my profile’ page. This includes your preferred search dispatch
method.
How do I order?
It’s easy…
• Once we’ve confirmed your registration by email, login to the site using your
details.
• Locate the residential or commercial property by using the postcode, if this is
available. Alternatively, insert the address of the property.
• Map the extent of the property boundary using the easy to use mapping tool. If
this is not possible, for example for new builds that have yet to be
defined within Ordnance Survey MastermapTM, you can
o upload a plan whilst you create
your case online
o for a small charge, add a Land
Registry plan to your order.
• Select which search products you require.
o You can choose one of our easy
order packages of search products, which
represent the most popular mix chosen by our customers.
o Or you can choose individual
search products to best suit you or your client’s
individual needs.
o Our system automatically recognises
which local authority or water company
area your property lies within. So you don’t need to worry about getting
this wrong.
• Click Submit.
Can I order packages or searches for a new build property or a piece of land?
Yes. As our system incorporates up to date Ordnance Survey MastermapTM data, it’s
possible that new builds may already feature within our mapping tool.
For new build boundaries that have not yet been defined, quoting your case reference,
you can email your plan to:-

However, this may slightly delay your order being processed.
When I am ordering more than one search on a particular case how do I know the turnaround
time for each?
Both our price guide and product selection
page provide average turnaround information for each of our products.
When creating your case, these turnaround times are listed as ‘due dates’. If there
is a delay to any of the products you have ordered, the ‘expected date’ is when
you can expect to receive your completed order.
How do I cancel a case or package / search product?
If you need to cancel press the cancel button connected to the specific case, package
or search product. We will subsequently contact you to discuss and confirm your
cancellation.
Alternatively, using your case reference, you can email
onlinecustomers@thameswater.co.uk or call us on 0118 925 1504 and we will
process the cancellation for you.
What if I forget my password?
Press ‘Forgot Your Password?’ within the login section. Enter and submit your user
name. We will subsequently reset your password and send this to your registered
e-mail address.
How do I pay for my orders?
Once a case has been closed an invoice will automatically be generated. Payment
can be made by cheque, BACS payment or credit/ debit card (by calling 0118 925 1509),
quoting your invoice number.
What if I have a query in relation to my order or case, or technical issues with
the website?
If you have a query with a closed or existing case you can simply use the correspondence
section to send your question directly to us.

Is training on the website available?
Yes. We can provide initial and ongoing training, specifically designed for your
company needs, by phone, e-mail or through onsite training at your offices. We are also able to offer online web conferencing.
We have a simple to follow customer training manual available to all users that clearly guides you through
all aspects of using the website.
